Incumbent Florida Rep. Bill Proctor says his experience is needed in the Legislature to guide his constituents through rocky times in the state's budget.

Peter Romano announced Monday that he is dropping out of the City Commission race and threw his support to his opponent Leanna Freeman.

State attorney endorsements

Fundraising by candidates for the St. Johns County Commission slowed in the last reporting period, with the seven candidates in the primary election raising less than a combined $10,000.

The campaign for State Attorney should be about experience, said incumbent John Tanner, who has held the position for 16 of the past 20 years.
